The latest social media platform launch a redesign? If you talk about the YouTube, it did. The online mecca for video production enthusiasts launched a complete redesign on December 1. The emphasis was laid upon the social network integration and usage of powerful algorithms to figure out what videos the users like most of all. But what does YouTube redesign include?
There were added an activity feed in the center of the page, channels on the left, and recommendations for users on the right. The channels now include all YouTube user subscriptions and integration with his or her social network (automatic integration of Google+ and Facebook).
The Subscriptions feed is perhaps the biggest leap, as it was upgraded greatly from the way YouTube handled subscriptions before (after watching a video from a channel user subscribed to pages with other videos through getting an email). With the change, uploaded videos are presented in front and center.
The centrally placed Subscriptions feed will present videos from producers, users subscribed to in a manner that seems to make more sense than it did previously (which our Los Angeles social media clients are bound to like). The industry-specific subscribers can find users more easily now.
In fact, it’s worth predicting that the practice of video production for online marketing could multiply substantially from the user-friendly YouTube redesign). As businesses see the power of YouTube marketing increasing, they will most likely jump on the bandwagon. This was always the case, but the frequency of this increases even more.
