In 2005, Sean put his accrued understanding of search engine technology to use and developed a custom, small-scale search engine that became known as Think Thinker. Sean created Think Thinker to better understand the various factors both on and off web pages which influence the way in which results emerge from an online search. Think Thinker’s future was limited, however, Sean’s’ ability to create successful, search-engine friendly webpages was not.
SeanHakes.com was born as an independent search engine marketing consulting firm that was dedicated to continued search engine optimization development and marketing services for small businesses. As time progressed, Sean Hakes continued to broaden his search engine marketing understanding by consulting many of the world’s leading “.com” companies, including IAC (InterActive Corp); ServiceMagic.com; Jobing.com; LendingTree.com and many more.
As his knowledge of internet marketing advanced, Sean realized the new field of online publicity had the potential to expand into something much bigger than he had ever imagined. In 2008, Sean formed a Colorado-based, custom website design and internet marketing firm that became what is known today as Jemsu.
