I have always been a proponent of GoDaddy.com for small business web hosting solutions…
Even though GoDaddy has a cluttered hard to user control panel for it’s web hosting customers, their hosting is reliable – once you figure out how to navigate through their cluttered control panel.
I recently signed up and paid for annual web hosting through GoDaddy.com in hopes to get away from 1&1 Dedicated Root Servers and am somewhat disappointed in not only the Linux hosting package I purchased but the lack of attention and detail the customer support has delivered.
I was assured by the GoDaddy.com sales rep that the GoDaddy package I was choosing was a direct match to what I had with 1&1, the reason for my concern was the amount of websites I have hosted that require a php email/send-mail function that is essential for my lead generation hosted pages.
I swapped hosting from 1&1 over to GoDaddy on a few test websites and the php send-mail functions did not work. GoDaddy technical support offered no expertise, knowledge or troubleshooting to fix the issue. Finally I made contact with GoDaddy customer service and politely asked for a refund – GoDaddy acknowledged my request but have never delivered or returned my email – a disappointing GoDaddy experience.
